The Employee is hired in the position of [[Job Title]] and shall perform the duties described in this Agreement and such other duties as are reasonably assigned by the Employer consistent with the Employee's qualifications and position.
2. Employment Status and At-Will Relationship
Employment in Wisconsin is generally at-will. Subject to the terms of this Agreement and applicable law, either party may terminate the employment relationship at any time, with or without cause or advance notice, unless a different arrangement is expressly set forth in a signed writing.
- This Agreement does not create a contract for employment for a definite term unless expressly stated in a signed writing by an authorized representative of the Employer.
- Any fixed term or project-based employment specified elsewhere shall convert to at-will upon expiration unless the parties execute a written extension.
- No handbook, policy, or oral statement shall alter the at-will nature of employment unless set forth in a signed written agreement.
3. Duties and Responsibilities
The Employee shall perform all duties associated with the position of [[Job Title]] in a professional, diligent, and timely manner, including but not limited to:
- Execute the core responsibilities of the role and meet performance expectations communicated by the Employer.
- Comply with all applicable federal, state, and local laws, Employer policies, and reasonable instructions from supervisors.

- Devote full working time and attention to the Employer's business during scheduled working hours.

4. Compensation

The Employee shall be paid according to the schedule corresponding to [[Pay Frequency]]. Compensation is subject to applicable tax withholdings and deductions required by law.
- If salaried, the stated amount is the base annual salary, paid in installments per the Employer's standard payroll schedule.
- If hourly, the stated rate applies to all hours worked. Non-exempt employees are entitled to overtime at one-and-one-half times the regular rate for hours over 40 in a workweek under the Fair Labor Standards Act and Wisconsin wage and hour law.
- The current Wisconsin minimum wage is $7.25 per hour (subject to any local ordinances or future adjustments). The Employer will comply with all applicable minimum wage, overtime, pay transparency, and wage payment requirements under Wis. Stat. ch. 109 and ch. 104.
- Bonus, commission, equity, or other incentive compensation, if any, is governed by separate written plans or agreements and is not guaranteed unless expressly provided.
- The Employer will provide itemized pay statements as required by law.
5. Benefits and Leave
The Employee shall be eligible for benefits subject to the terms of the applicable plan documents, eligibility rules, and Employer policies:
- Group health, dental, vision, and other insurance benefits offered to similarly situated employees.
- Participation in any retirement or 401(k) plan offered by the Employer.
- Paid time off (PTO), vacation, holidays, and sick leave according to the Employer's current policy and applicable Wisconsin law, including any mandated family or medical leave.
6. Confidentiality
The Employee agrees to hold in strict confidence and not disclose or use any of the Employer's confidential or proprietary information during or after employment, except as required in the performance of duties or as authorized in writing. Confidential information includes trade secrets, customer data, business plans, financial information, processes, and any other non-public information.
7. Intellectual Property and Work Product
All work product, inventions, discoveries, improvements, and materials created by the Employee in the course of employment or using Employer resources shall be the sole and exclusive property of the Employer. The Employee hereby assigns all rights, title, and interest in such work product to the Employer and agrees to execute any documents necessary to perfect the Employer's ownership. This obligation survives termination of employment.
8. Restrictive Covenants
Any non-compete, non-solicitation, or other restrictive covenant shall be set forth in a separate written agreement or addendum and must comply with Wis. Stat. § 103.465. Under Wisconsin law, a restrictive covenant is enforceable only if it is reasonably necessary to protect a legitimate business interest, reasonable in time, geographic scope, and type of activity, and not harsh or oppressive to the Employee. If any portion of a covenant is held unenforceable, the entire covenant may be void under § 103.465.
9. Termination
Either party may terminate employment as provided by the at-will doctrine or any applicable written agreement. Upon termination, the Employee shall return all Employer property, documents, and data. The Employer shall pay all earned wages and any accrued but unused PTO in accordance with Wisconsin wage payment laws (Wis. Stat. ch. 109).
10. Representations and Warranties
The Employee represents that the Employee is legally authorized to work in the United States, that all information provided in the employment application and related documents is true and complete, and that the Employee is not subject to any agreement or restriction that would prevent performance under this Agreement.
11. Governing Law
This Agreement shall be governed by the laws of the State of Wisconsin. Any disputes shall be resolved in the state or federal courts located in [[County, e.g., "Dane County or Milwaukee County, Wisconsin"]].
12. Severability; Entire Agreement
If any provision is held invalid, the remaining provisions shall continue in full force. This Agreement, together with any exhibits and separate restrictive covenant agreements, constitutes the entire agreement and supersedes prior understandings. It may be amended only in a writing signed by both parties.
13. Counterparts and Electronic Signatures
This Agreement may be executed in counterparts and by electronic signature, each of which shall be deemed an original.

15. Additional Provisions
- The Employee agrees to participate in any required background checks or drug screenings as a condition of employment.
- The Employer maintains an equal opportunity employment policy and prohibits discrimination and harassment as required by applicable federal and Wisconsin law.
- The Employee shall comply with all safety rules and report any workplace hazards immediately.
- Upon termination, the Employee shall participate in an exit interview if requested and return all property.
- This Agreement may be executed electronically.

17. Additional Employer Policies
- The Employee agrees to abide by the Employer's employee handbook as amended from time to time, provided it does not conflict with this Agreement.
- The Employee consents to electronic communications for notices and documents related to employment.
- Any prior agreements regarding employment are superseded by this Agreement.
- The Employee represents that acceptance of this position does not violate any prior non-compete or other obligation.
