6. Liens and Encumbrances
Seller represents and warrants that:
(a) Seller is the legal owner of the vehicle with full right to sell it;
(b) The vehicle is free and clear of all liens, security interests, and encumbrances, EXCEPT:

7. Colorado Title Transfer and Registration Requirements
To complete the title transfer in Colorado, the Buyer must:

3. Submit the following to the Colorado county motor vehicle office in the county where the Buyer resides within 60 days of purchase (Colorado DMV / County Assessor's Motor Vehicle Office - verify current submission deadline):

- Completed Bill of Sale (this document)
- Completed DR 2173 (Bill of Sale form - optional supplement) or county-required forms
- Proof of insurance
- Colorado Emissions Certificate if required for the county (applicable in Denver metro counties)
- VIN verification if required (out-of-state vehicles)
4. Pay the following fees and taxes:
- Colorado Specific Ownership Tax (SOT): An annual tax based on the vehicle's age and manufacturer's suggested retail price (MSRP), ranging from 0.5% to 2.1% of a portion of MSRP (verify current SOT schedule at Colorado DMV - C.R.S. § 42-3-107). SOT is NOT a traditional sales tax but is paid at the time of registration.
