PART 6 - CONDITION AND "AS-IS" DISCLAIMER
6.1 Sale "As-Is." This vehicle is sold "AS IS" and "WITH ALL FAULTS." Seller makes no representation or warranty, express or implied, including any implied warranty of merchantability or fitness for a particular purpose, regarding the vehicle's condition, mileage, title (except as stated herein), or suitability for any use.
6.2 Buyer Inspection. Buyer acknowledges that Buyer has had the opportunity to inspect the vehicle, test-drive it, and have it independently inspected by a mechanic of Buyer's choosing, and that Buyer is purchasing the vehicle based on Buyer's own examination and evaluation.

6.4 No Dealer Warranty. This is a private-party sale. No dealer warranty applies. Connecticut Used Motor Vehicle Lemon Law (C.G.S. §§ 42-179 to 42-181a) does not apply to private sales.
PART 7 - TITLE AND LIEN DISCLOSURE
7.1 Clear Title. Seller represents and warrants that:
- Seller is the lawful owner of the vehicle and has the legal right to sell it;
- The vehicle is free and clear of all liens, encumbrances, mortgages, and security interests, EXCEPT as listed below; and
- Seller will deliver a clean Connecticut Certificate of Title to Buyer at or before transfer.
7.2 Existing Liens: (Select one)

PART 8 - CONNECTICUT DMV TRANSFER REQUIREMENTS
8.1 Title Assignment. Seller shall properly complete and sign the title assignment on the back of the Connecticut Certificate of Title (Form H-31 information), including:
- Purchaser's name and address;
- Date of sale and odometer reading;
- Seller's signature (and any lienholder release, if applicable).
8.2 Buyer's Registration Obligation. Buyer must register the vehicle with the Connecticut Department of Motor Vehicles within 60 days of the purchase date (C.G.S. § 14-12). Required documents at DMV:
- Assigned Connecticut title (or Connecticut out-of-state title with assignment if seller's title is from another state);
- This Bill of Sale;
- Connecticut safety/emissions inspection certificate (if applicable);
- Proof of Connecticut auto insurance;
- Payment of registration fees and applicable taxes.
8.3 Sales Tax. Connecticut imposes a 6.35% sales tax on the purchase price of motor vehicles, or 7.75% on vehicles with a purchase price exceeding $50,000 (C.G.S. §§ 12-430, 12-408; rates as of June 2026 - verify current rates). Sales tax is collected by the DMV at registration. Buyer is responsible for payment of all applicable taxes.
8.4 Seller's Notice of Transfer. After the sale, Seller should notify the Connecticut DMV of the transfer and return or cancel Seller's registration plates, as Connecticut plates generally do not transfer with the vehicle (C.G.S. § 14-12; verify current DMV procedure). Seller should contact CT DMV (portal: portal.ct.gov/DMV) to update records and avoid future liability.
8.5 Emissions Inspection. Connecticut requires vehicles to pass an emissions inspection before registration in covered areas. Buyer should confirm whether the vehicle has a current, valid emissions certificate.
