PART 6 - "AS-IS" CONDITION AND DISCLAIMER
6.1 "As-Is" Sale. Seller sells this vehicle "AS IS" and "WITH ALL FAULTS." Seller makes NO warranty, express or implied, including no warranty of merchantability or fitness for a particular purpose, regarding the vehicle's condition, history, mechanical state, or suitability for any use.
6.2 Buyer Inspection. Buyer acknowledges that Buyer has had the opportunity to inspect the vehicle, test-drive it, and commission an independent pre-purchase inspection, and that Buyer is purchasing based on Buyer's own assessment.

6.4 No Delaware Lemon Law. The Delaware Lemon Law (6 Del. C. §§ 5001-5009) applies only to new vehicles purchased from dealers and does NOT apply to private-party used car sales.
PART 7 - TITLE AND LIEN STATUS
7.1 Seller's Warranty of Title. Seller represents and warrants that:
- Seller is the lawful owner of the vehicle and has legal authority to sell;

PART 8 - DELAWARE DMV TRANSFER REQUIREMENTS
8.1 Title Assignment. Seller shall complete the title assignment on the back of the Delaware Certificate of Title, including:
- Buyer's name and address;
- Sale date;
- Odometer reading;
- Seller's notarized signature (Delaware titles require notarization of the assignment - see Section 8.2).
8.2 Notarization of Title Assignment. Delaware requires the Seller's signature on the title assignment to be notarized (21 Del. C. § 2327). Both Seller and Buyer should confirm the title assignment is notarized before completing the transfer.
8.3 Buyer's Registration Deadline. Buyer must apply for a new Delaware title and register the vehicle with the Delaware Division of Motor Vehicles (DMV) within 30 days of purchase (21 Del. C. § 2344). Required at DMV:
- Assigned Delaware title (notarized);
- This Bill of Sale;
- Proof of Delaware insurance;
- Payment of applicable fees.
8.4 Delaware Document Fee. Delaware levies a 4.25% document fee (also referred to as a transfer fee) on the purchase price of motor vehicles at time of registration (21 Del. C. § 2313). This fee is payable by Buyer at the DMV. Delaware has no sales tax on motor vehicles; the 4.25% document fee takes its place. (Verify current rate with Delaware DMV before transaction.)
8.5 Seller's Plate Return. Delaware license plates are NOT transferred with the vehicle. Seller retains their plates and must return them to the Delaware DMV, or transfer them to another vehicle within 30 days (21 Del. C. § 2355). Seller should verify current plate-return procedures at dmv.de.gov.
8.6 Emissions / Safety Inspection. Delaware may require a vehicle safety inspection for title transfer.
